When does it become 'not visible'?

If you make the table Inline (not floating) ie pasted into the text of a Word Processing document, the header of the table will repeat at the top of each column or page.

I should have been clearer - my apologies. I have a large table in Pages and when I scroll down 4 rows, I can no longer see the headings for the columns. I know that in Microsoft Word, you can create a table where the header is visible, no matter how far down one scrolls in the table. I'm hoping that the same is true for Pages. Thanks.
No it isn't.
Peter
Xanthia,
The feature you seek is available in Numbers tables, but not in Pages.
Jerry
Only if you have the table inline, in a word processing document, and the cells aren't taller than the documents text layer.
Fruhulda,
I'm not finding a control for freezing headers in either Floating or Inline mode. Where did you find this control for inline tables? (Headers will repeat, but they don't freeze.)
Jerry
I misunderstood the question. It didn't appear to me that the headers should "freeze". I am so unused the that feature nowadays.
Fruhulda,
I think this design element is consistent with the Pages app being principally oriented toward preparing documents for printing. Numbers, on the other hand, recognizes that users employ that app as a tool to browse and analyze data, in addition to preparing for printing.
