Boost the Volume

How can we boost the volume of the a patch(s) of recording within a track.

I have seen that automation can be done to each segments by using write.

But here i asking for something different, something which is common is softwares like neundo.

When you can select segments and just vertical draw the cursor to increase there volume of the segment(s) uniformly.
