has anyone boot camp their apple puter and did it work well.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Works just fine. Make sure you have a large enough partition for what you want to do. Used a 40GB partition (250GB HDD, mostly use OS X), enough for the install, some basic programs, and a game or two.

Obviously there is more to learn and do especially for first time running Windows. If that is too much, running Windows as a guest OS (VM) under Lion is easier and works for all but games and resource intensive apps. If you have a good enough amount of RAM and processor cores and GHz.
