having trouble with the learn process

mac pro, 10.68, logic pro 9. My controller is an Axiom 61.

I don't know yet if this an axion question or a logic question. On my axoim there are a bank of sliders which do not work independently of each other after logic learns only one slider. Actually, one slider function on its own, 8 all control the same control surface in logic, whether its volume or some other param.

any thoughts?
