Program will not delete from menu bar!

I decided not to keep the Trend Micro Smart Surfing program after my subsription expired. Well I deleted by dragging it into the trash can. It's been over two months and every time I start my iMac it pops up on my menu bar and tells me about my expiration of service.I emptied my trash can, but no luck. I have tried reinstalling the program thinking there may be some uninstaller program I needed to use, but it tells me I have to delete the current version first. I have searched in spotlight and in finder, but no trend micro or smart surfing shows up. I don't know what to do anymore, but it is a pain to have to deal with that program after I deleted it. Does anyone have an idea on how to get rid of that?!?!

Thanks,

Dave

Contact the developer and found out the correct method of uninstalling their app. When uninstalling an app it's wise to:

  1. Contact the developer for instructions, if the developer does not have an uninstall utility then
  2. Use a utililty such as AppCleaner to remove it
  3. Drag the app to the trash

Clearly you did not fully uninstall and have some left over pieces, I'd recommend contacting the developer for instuctions.
