Can I create a Text box and fill it with a color background and place it over a photo in a book?
If you edit your book in "Edit Layout" mode (press the edit layout button), you can insert Text boxes.
Each Book Theme has its own limited set of text styles available, and none has a colored background.
To add a colored background add a PhotoBox and add an image with a background; then use the "send backward" button to get the background image behind the textbox.
