iphone 4s music skipps

Hi, this is my first post so I'm sorry if this question has already been posted; as I suspect it has. When I am listening to iTunes on my iPhone 4s (32 g) it ramdomly pauses and skips music. I called Apple support who first had me uninstall my music and then reinstanll, that did not work. Then they had me do a
"reset all settings,; this too did not work. Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this problem? By the way, I also use a Nano, iPad and Mac to listen to iTunes, none of these devices has this issue.
