Hi i'm looking at buying and iPhone 4 from USA.
Was wondering if i bought it would it work with a New Zealand sim and a NZ network?

Amazon is NOT an authorized reseller of iPhones. The ONLY place you can officially purchase an UNLOCKED iPhone in the US is from an Apple store. If you purchase it anywhere else, it is very likely grey market, hacked to become unlocked, and will be completely unusable in your area.
In addition, iPhone warranty is good ONLY in the country of purchase. Plan on sending your iPhone to a friend or relative in the US if you have problems. You CANNOT send it in to Apple in the US.
You're much better off purchasing an iPhone in New Zealand.
If you do so, it's most likely a hacked or jailbroken phone. AT&T will only unlock phones for current or former customers in good standing. Don't waste your money.
