I am having trouble seeing the words in the URL headings, or any of the other choices under the URL.
I can hardly see the lettering across the top of the apple page. i.e. Safari file edit view history etc etc,,,,
How can I make all this larger? I am visually impaired, and I have set up (never use sizes smaller than 14)
My URL addresses must be coming in as an 8 or smaller... Command plus enlarges the page, but not the wording at the top,.

Then use:
Command-Option -[=] to zoom in bigger
Command-Option-[-] to zoom out smaller
when the cursor nears the edge of the displayed area, it will scroll.
I had the cataract in my left eye removed last Wednesday, and a new lens implanted. It is tough getting used to the difference, but I am slowly adapting.

Thanks Grant - I am visually impaired. I was told to get a Mac as it is easy to read. I am having a heck of a time getting used to this computer. Good thing that I am a touch typist, but not a touch typist for all the symbals I have to use..!!!

You could try changing the screen resolution:
System Preferences > Display > Display.
Users are sometimes happy with the result..

Hi Jo,
Mail's Bigger & Smaller font option on the toolbar works on 'the message' after the mail message has been selected.
Command + and Command - should work too.

The big and small A on the top of the e-mail when I click new message, or reply to, or when I click on a person's name and open e-mail does not work...

I don't know which Operating system you are using ('About this Mac' under the Apple on the top menubar)
I can only show you from OSX7 Lion.
The New message & Reply window have the normal font and point size box with triangle dropdowns.
Select (click in the message area or select the words typed ) first.. change size second.
Inbox : Select the message first then change the font point size:

I just discovered that if you are in Safari, you can go to Safari/Preferences/Advanced then set the font to larger. This helped me see the websites better. Also, then you can zoom from there by hitting command and the + key simultaneously. Best of luck!
This worked really well. I'm new to the Apple community and I wasn't too sure how to make the font bigger. This was a an easy fix.
