Ipod Nano (6th) White Screen Cannot Restart

I have a 6th generation Ipod Nano that has a white screen. I cannot turn it off but if I press the sleep/wake button it turns white (when black). I looked at the manuals and it states that you can reset it etc using the sleep/wake and the - volume, however this does not work on my ipod.

Any suggestions?

Did you try this, copied from iPod nano (6th generation): Hardware troubleshooting

Display shows a white screen

  • Try putting the iPod into disk mode:
    • Reset the device (press the Sleep and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until the display turns black—about eight seconds).
    • When the display turns black, hold down the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the device enters Disk mode.
  • While the device is in disk mode, sync it to iTunes and try to restore.

hi Stevejobfan0123,

I left my ipod for 2 weeks turned ON (with white screen). Then it went dead by itself.

Turned on nothing happened, so I Assumed it properly drained the battery.

Charged it and followed ingo2711 procedure but it didnt work. I already restore the the os from iTunes.

Status is still the same. Now it wont turn on.. No white screen its totally dead even if connected directly from outlet.

Using my iPod Nano as Pedometer. Need your help guys!
