My imac DVD wont play discs.
The DVD player on my Imac has stopped working. It grinds away for a while then spits out the disc. I tried a dvd lens cleaner. I am running snow leopoard. The machine is five or six years old
iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
Try smc and pram reset. If that doesn't work the drive needs to be replaced.
One last test is to boot in safe mode and see if it works under those conditions.
