May 16, 2012 7:40 AM in response to zazusmomby Ethy,I'd check my payment settings in the store; from iTunes (or on the device settings->store->ID) verify your payment options to be either the correct PayPal or card details.

May 17, 2012 7:54 PM in response to zazusmomby zazusmom,I had to call Apple because I was so frustrated! What they told me to do was go into iTunes on a LAPTOP!!! Sign in and check the payment type if it Paypal it has to be changed to a credit card, and then it will take on the iPad. It was super easy after they talked it through. Good Luck.

May 18, 2012 7:04 AM in response to zazusmomby noah8898,The problem is that I have never used PayPal as a payment type. I went into itunes on my computer and checked and it is set for my credit card. I even re-entered all my credit card information. And still not fix. Frustrated!!!

Jun 6, 2012 3:51 PM in response to noah8898by Cakim,That is my exact problem... I don't even have PayPal, and have re-entered my CC info at the ITunes store twice now and I STILL get the screen that tells me PayPal is not supported and to change my payment method. Cannot download any apps... why have an IPhone? Beyond irritating!

Jun 10, 2012 10:11 AM in response to Cakimby Yashie,I am having the same problem on my iPad. What a run around. PayPal account is fine; however, changed payment method and still get Paypal error message.

Sep 6, 2012 7:05 PM in response to zazusmomby RileyJack4ever,I'm having the same problem on all of my devices. When I went into my account to change my Payment method, I still get the same error. I guess we can't use the PayPal Debit card either. It would be nice, if we were allowed to have two forms of payment, instead of just one, as a backup. Needless to say, I won't be upgrading to the iPhone 5 or the new iPad, if I keep having the same problem.

Oct 23, 2012 3:25 PM in response to zazusmomby mamadoll209,I can't even access my payment method in settings on my iphone ... how am i supposed to fix this issue if i don't have access to my personal computer that has my itunes on it?
-
Oct 25, 2012 10:55 AM in response to mamadoll209by jejones75,I am also having the same "paypal is not supported on this device" issue and I also do not have access to the laptop where iTunes is downloaded. I can't even update any apps - I've got 19 updates in queue that won't download because as soon as I enter my password, I get that paypal error.
Cloud service my a$$ if changing basic account information is dependent on a MACHINE!!

Jan 8, 2014 7:07 AM in response to zazusmomby PceMom,had this same problem also. The problem has to do with your credit card number associated with you iCloud account. To solve this problem, you need to update your credit card/payment information by doing the following on your iPad / iPhone / iTouch:
Settings > iCloud > click on your account > Payment Information
Update this section with your correct credit card information and Save.

Jun 17, 2014 8:17 PM in response to zazusmomby digitalvinyl1963,I've read all the posts and the solutions/work-arounds. I do appreciate them. But I haven't found the answer I was looking for. I use PayPal for iTunes on my desktop and my laptop. I have an iPad Mini that I've made purchases through PayPal. Now I have an iPad Air and PayPal is a no-go. What is the deal? Why the restriction?

Mar 9, 2015 4:18 PM in response to zazusmomby nclwillis,I FINALLY figured it out for my phone after tinkering around with it for days! You have to make sure your app store/apple ID payment info matches the payment info on your phones iCloud account. One has to be done through your computer the other your phone. I hope this makes sense. But it worked for me! FINALLY!!

Mar 27, 2015 12:47 PM in response to zazusmomby amandarawr91,Same thing happened to me. I even plugged my iphone into the computer and tried to download the app directly from itunes on my laptop and still didn't work.
I went through all the steps and it said it was verified and still no success. After about 30min or so i finally got it too work.
*Make sure at the very last page you scroll down and click "done". Simple solution in my case that I completely missed lol.
I hope this works for you if you haven't all ready tried
