Mail signatures

Two questions about Mail signatures:

  • My Mail signatures have somehow become corrupted and I can't replace the graphic portion that used to be there -- when I try to drap and drop a JPEG or GIF file into the Signature panel, the file "turns into" a TIFF and won't represent in my mails
  • I've tried to use Time Machine to find a pre-corruption version of the signatures, but can't seem to find the location of the right file

Help with these two, related questions appreciated!

Thanks,

Thank you so much for this. Strangely, while the restored signature files now show the graphics as TIFFs, they now represent as images rather than as file symbols -- so while the result looks like it used to with the Time Machine restore, the content in the Preferences/Signatures file has changed. Go figure.

Have you also figured out how to cause the graphic component of a signature to appear centred as you can do with the text portion? This wasn't part of my original query, but it is annoying to have to manually centre my logo in each outgoing email, only to find that on my copies, some of them still appear flush left.

Best wishes to you, and repeated gratitude.
