I'm recording an audiobook and I need to set a specific punch-in point where I mess up and then I'd like to continue recording without setting a punch-out point.  All I've been able to find so far is punching-in on the fly, but I don't want to do that because I need the punch in point at a specific spot, and I need to be focused on the text and hearing how I was reading it, no focused on pressing record at the right spot.  There's got to be a way to turn off the punch-out point using the auto punch... right?

    Hi

'fraid not.... your only solution would be to set the punch out point far enough 'to the right' so that it becomes irrelevant

    Hi

You can do this automatically using the Marquee tool to create a 'single point' Marquee selection: the Autopunch locators will be set from that point to the Project end point.
