So silly of me for asking this question without reading first other similar questions. I just tapped the screen twice using three fingers and everything is back to normal. Thank you!

Don't worry. You can set it oof in Settings/General/Accessibility/Zoom.

I tried 3-finger tapping but it didn't work--finally I realized I could MOVE the screen with 3 fingers (so I could get at where I needed to tap in order to make changes!) and eventually, while I was moving it, it suddenly went back to normal! (This was also after trying to solve the problem by updating to 9.0 ). YEEESHHHH!
