Q: my ipod nano 5th gen is not turning on after being drained for about 1 to 2 years and wont turn back on

i cant get it to charge or turn back on

So if you plug it into a charger absolutly NOTHING happens....the screen doesnt turn on or anything? That is kind of strange. Even a dead battery will power up after being on a charger for a couple of minutes. I have the 2nd gen ipod touch and the battery is dead, but if i hook it up to a charger it wil at least power up after a couple of minutes. But it wont keep a charge.
