I just received a Itunes gift card and tried to redeem it on Ipad but forgot my Macpro computer was the only place I can redeem. So once I place Itunes code in redeem it tell me it has been cancelled. Any reason why?
You can redeem an iTunes card on an iPad. Did you complete the process? If so, what has happened? Does the message say that the card has been cancelled, or that the code has already been redeemed? Do you not see a balance when you are signed into the iTunes Store account through which you redeemed the card?
Thanks for the response. I tried to finish it on Ipad but it didn't let me. So then when I trying on Macbook pro this note came up.
The Gift card or Prepaid card you entered has been cancelled.

Update on the Fafard class action lawsuit involving the cancelled Itunes gift cards here:

Apparently, although complaint there suggested involved Best Buy only, it was the intermediary used by Apple that cancelled the cards not either Best Buy or Apple itself. Settlement would reinstate (make active) old gift cards.
