Q: After repair, I can't use Aperture (it won't accept upgrade SN, and I no longer have original!)
After getting my Macbook Pro back from the Osaka Apple Store with a new logic board, Aperture asked me to reenter my Serial Number. Unfortunately, it won't take the upgrade number I got with Aperture 3.0... and I threw away all the 2.0 documentation and packaging when I bought the upgrade to save space. Is there any way around this? It is quite frustrating. I bought the Macbook Pro with the Aperture software already installed, so is there a way for Apple to check the purchase record and get me either the original or a replacement serial number for my computer? I am a photographer as a hobby, but between the time it was broken, the time I was waiting to get it back, I've got about 60 GB of photos I need to get edited. This is incredibly frustrating. I'd like the issue delt with as quickly as possible and would appreciate any help.
Sincerely,
-Kevin
