Am going to Korea soon, does anyone know if I can put a Korean sim card in it and use it as a mobile phone (I have the 3G ipad) ?
FYI - I do well to switch the thing on, I'm not technically very good with IT stuff.
You can use it for FaceTime (over wif) and Skype-type calls, but you can't do 'normal' phone calls with an iPad.

Why don't you get the free apps like Magicjack to call. With Magicjack you can call anyone in the U.S. or Canada, or anyone who has the app. Text wise you should get textme which gives you your own number and can text anyonein the U.S. or Canada and everyone else who has the app.
