iOS 5.1.1 have batery loss

I have batery drain with the update to ios 5.1.1. I just take the cell of the lock screen and do nothing, and in seconds (300 seconds) i see going from 24% to 9%.

What's going on? I think updates are to solve problems, not get new ones!!!

I'm having the same issue. With 5.1, my battery drain was decent. I could go a full work day with decent usage (text, web browsing, app usage, etc.) and end the day with 50-60% battery. After updating to 5.1.1, I can almost watch the battery drain, with no apps running or using the phone.

I had a voice call that lasted about ten minutes and my battery dropped almost 10%. I'm going to do a restore and go back to 5.1. I can't make it through a workday like this. My phone has been off the charger for approximately an hour (100% charge). I've barely used it and it's currently at 93%. Btw, I have an iPhone 4. If apple hasn't fixed this issue by the time my upgrade comes around, I'm going Android.

I'm not sure if that was directed toward me, but it certainly isn't all in my head. I experienced a huge battery drain when I went to ios 5. It did seem to slow *some* after 5.1. It was better than it was. I updated yesterday to 5.1.1 and the battery drops quickly. I realize that it doesn't seem to be widespread and it may not be, but it is happening.

If I am not using my phone and have no apps "running" in the background, I'll loose a few percent of battery (which is expected) at the rate of 2-4% per hour. But, with use, I will drop percentages per minute. It's even worse if I'm using voice. I use my phone for work purposes and have noticed a dramatic decrease in battery going from 5.1 to 5.1.1. As I have typed this using my phone, which has been just a few minutes and have lost ~3%. Before the update, I would've lost *maybe* 1%.

I am having the same issue, my phone had 13% and has already gone to 10% while i have been signing in to reply to this. No software added, just updated to 5.1.1 this afternoon.

Going away this weekend and can have y phone like this, this whole battery issue is becoming a joke to be fair!

The 4S was supposed to have a better battery than the 4 and I have had worse battery on my 4S since day 1!
