Hi.

Just upgraded from Logic 8 to Logic 9.1.7

I'm a real novice at this so please bear with me if this sounds overly simplistic, it is!

I have a software instrument track, with, for example, a Steinway Piano Room sound.

When I play a note, it's as if I'm using a sustain pedal, when in fact, I'm not.

Every note has a long fade (decay).

This never happened to me in Logic 8.
I don't remember changing ANYTHING, except opening my project files.

It happens with any software instrument, and on every track, and in all the project files I checked.

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.

Do you have a sustain pedal?

It could be that the polarity is reversed somehow (so that the up position is "on" and the pressed position is "off".). What happens if you choose & play the EVP88 instrument?
