- Try a reet. Nothing is lost.
reset iPad. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router.
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
1. Have you tried rebooting router?
2. Reset network settings
3. Have you tried changing the security settings e.g. WEP, WPA, WPA2
4. Have you tried changing channel; try channel 1, 6 or 11 (non-overlapping channels)?
5. Reduce the number of walls between your iPad and the router.
6. Have you tried changing wireless protocol e.g. a/b/g/n

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

I know it has been a while since you posted but i wanted to share my experience with fixing this prob on my ipad. I am no tech by any means, and much of what I had seen in posts had confused me.
I bought the newest ipad in December 2012 and never had wifi prob until last night...my cable and desktop internet worked fine but not on the ipad which was in the same room as the router. I tried everything and nothing worked: reboot, reset, unplugging router. I called the cable company (Charter) and after going over all info, they said to call manufacturer. I went online and researched some more and there was a site on how to connect the first time...
they showed going into settings, and then going to Wi-Fi.
by the network name and by 'choose a network' there were a buffering circles...and had been since the previous night.
I hit the blue arrow and it brought me to the IP Address.
I noticed there were no numbers in the Router box or the DNS box, as the website said there should be!
I called the cable company to tell them the router was the issue. The customer service rep asked me to give the first 3 numbers in the IP address and it was not 192. It was (I think 159?). He said that 192 should be the GOOD number...the other means there is an error.
He created a new Network name and we tried to connect. Did not work.
He suggested that I call the manufacturer and deleted the new name on his end.
Lo and behold...to the surprise of both of us...
My Ipad beeped, and then connected to the original named network.
I don't know, but perhaps by creating a new network and then deleting it...it has somehow reset the router. Try it...it's worth a shot! I had no desire to drive all the way to the mall to go to the apple store!!!
