How can I drag songs from Ipod to file on descktop

Hi all, I would like to drag songs from my Ipod shuffel to a file on my desktop, but it does not seem to work.

I have my ipod set to manually manage. It looks like I am draging the songs but they do not copy to the folder.

I think I remember doing this with a older version of itunes.

I have windows 7

Ok, I was trying to drag them from itunes directly.

Now when I go to computer and open my ipod it says "The fiolder is EMPTY" even though it also shows the disk is full.

I'm about to give up on windows
