I have not tried this possibility, and I it may not work. However, if you have access to this hardware, you could try using a Firewire 400-800 adapter or cable to connect your old external Firewire iSight to the Firewire port of your external Apple LED display. If you do try this, understand that Firewire iSight can be temperamental about sharing Firewire connections, so disconnect EVERY other Firewire item while you test.
Otherwise, my best suggestion for an external cam for your MBA is a compatible USB one like those shown in http://www.mac-compatible-web-cam.com/

May 8, 2012 4:10 PM in response to EZ Jimby revelationechc,A good start here but I don't have an external display, nor do I intend on getting one. Any other thoughts or should I just sell the iSight? What about wireless cams, I'm using them for security monitoring to add onto my alarm system. Does anyone know of a wireless. Any that work with MBA?
