After 9 Hours of iMovie '11 I Miss Previous Versions

I made numerous movies using iMovie HD, and I was able to change audio levels, use different video, stills, and effects. Now, it takes me almost an hour to drag clips into a project and edit. Please don't make me go back to splicing film in a darkroom.

How do I use two different video angles and three different audio sources to make a movie? Nothing in the software is intuitive anymore.
