I am trying to update my Mac to the OS X Lion and it will not take my Apple ID!! I have checked a million times to make sure it is entered correctly... It
keeps posting that "my computer or device cannot be verified." WHY?
Thank you!! I think this should work... Except now for some reason, it's saying my administrator password is incorrect... which can't be. I have no idea what's going on... Ugh.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu. Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow instructions in the dialog window that will appear.
