iCloud email down - 8th May 06:30 GMT UK

Started a new thread for this, although posted on a previous thread as well.

Powered up the Mac Pro this morning, launched email app and no email, no fiolders nothing in sent box. Only mail I could see was archive folders I'd moved to my local machine.

Went to iCloud... email also missing, junk, sent inbox etc all there but empty and all the folders I'd created missing. Checked my iPhone - all missing.

As I work from home and use my email address for business, I estimate over 20,000 emails from the past 6 years have gone.

Anyone else having problems this morning?

Totally gutted.

Same here. All email has disappeared. There are three emails in my in box.

UPDATE:

I have just started one of my MacBooks, logged in and disabled WiFi and disconnected ethernet so it's not on the network and no access to the internet.

Started th email program and all my mail and folders are there (up to the last point the laptop was sync'd. So for my money, it's an Apple problem, they have 'lost' me email and then pushed the "loss' out to my devices (Mac Pro & iPhone)

Can I have my email back please.

Eek! Me too. 9000 messages dissapeared from my Macbook & iCloud server this morning. Quite worrying.

Me too; I came home from work five hours ago to discover every folder in Mail, and on iCloud.com, was empty. Four years of email, including important documents and files, missing.

I sure hope this gets fixed.

Same here. As of 6:30am EST, all my sent and received email (Nine years worth!) is missing.

Same here - for me it happened yesterday (US Central time) around 7pm. I had just updated my Iphone to 5.1.1 and the emails were almost instantly deleted, so I wonder if there is a connection?

I'm experiencing the same problem. Currently all of my iCloud folders are empty.

I'm still on an iPhone 3G so not running iOS.... and havebt sync'd my phone for two days

It appears to be specific to iCloud then. Just curious, did you have to reenter your password any time yesterday? My existing one, which was working fine on multiple devices, was rejected yesterday and I had to do the reset password thing....

One more question - I restored one mailbox from Time Machine and tried to reload it to iCloud - it said the mailbox already existed.

Did anyone try to do a restore or have similar problems?
