Worth the wait?

Simple question-- Is the MBP worth the wait?

I only ordered at the end of february and my estimated ship date is 3/21. I have yet to go through any of the shipping pushed back emails. However for those of you who now have your hands on it, was the MBP worth waiting for?

MBP 2.0GHz coming soon! stay tuned!

Not everyone has these problems, but it seems like people who are receiving their MacBook Pro's from late February and early March are having MacBook Pro's with less problems. But of course if you do get a whine, or anything that bugs you Apple will repair it for you or you can completely return it for a refund (if your configuration is stock).

BTW I don't have these problems at all. The only noise I've heard is inserting a CD/DVD & burning them.

Worth it? I think you're asking the wrong question. It's like declaring a war on a philosophy (i.e. terrorism)-it's just wrong!

The real question you should be asking is:

"Can I afford to go about my business without one?"

Tha answer to that question for me is a clear "NO!"

You see, I am currently on a 12" PowerBook (flawless) that I have grown fond of over the past year or so. However, I have been waitting all this time for a worthy replacement, and this is it!

Someone posted a processor intensive song made using Logic Pro (crucial for me) and people have reported being able to play 30-35 tracks before the system needs a breather. In contrast to this, my 12" PowerBook can barely handle 1!!!

Can I afford not to wait?

NO!

And now, I will leave you with a few words that someone wise once said:

"Good things come to those who wait"

: )

Worth the wait?
