iphoto iOS update fails

iPad 2 running lastest OS version (5.1.1)

Upgraded the OS last night. Had 7 app updates pending. One of which was iPhoto. Other 6 updated fine.

iPhoto refuses to start the download process and the progress bar on the app icon never starts. When I tap on the icon it says 'unable to update', 'close/retry'

If I tap 'retry' I get the same message back. I tried going into the App Store multiple times and restarting the download. Each attempt resulted in the same failure to start the actual load.

Help!?

The iPhoto for iOS app took a long time to download. But it eventually did. I'd try again.

I know it's a large (100mb+) download but it sat for over an hour and never started (progress bar never started). And I tried it several times. 😕

A reboot of your iPad might help. To reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Not sure where to go from here. Did you delete the app before trying to start the download?
