Final Cut not opening

Hello,

I recently had some problems with Font Book that eventually led to me reinstalling my OS. I am currently running OS10.5.8 on a MacPro. I now cannot open any sofware from my Final Cut suite (final cut 7 version). It crashes when I try to open it or any of the other software as part of the suite. I am guessing that I need to delete it and reinstall, but does anyone out there have any possible ways to resolve this? Thanks so much for your time.
