How do I download music (including burned CDs) from my iPod to my MacBook Pro after a disk reformat on the latter??

My 2010 MacBook Pro had a very corrupted disk and had to be reformatted. I had most files backed up, but not my music library. How do I transfer music back from my iPod to iTunes on the computer? The Sync option appears just to transfer purchased songs, and I have many of my own CDs on the IPod.
