Windows 7 error: No driver found for peripheral device (Apple iPad)

I was able to pair and use my iPad via my XP machine, but my iPad & my Windows 7 machine don't seem to get along. I've searched everywhere, and there doesn't seem to be a fix to allow my iPad to pair up with my Dell / Windows 7... BUT, I HAVE found a couple of forum rumblings suggesting it may never happen...

Really? Could this actually be a "corporate" problem (not mechanical)?
