I am trying to download a yourtube video on my MacPro so I can put it on my iPad2. I have FlexPlayer on my iPad. I have one video on there 9put on by someone) but I didn't get all of the steps to do this on my own.
I'm also told that I need to covert this video into a MP3 file and then to sent it to iTunes..... I just do not get it. Can you assist me?

Videos downloaded from YouTube will be saved in .flv format very often. iTunes will support only .mp4 and .mov format. Use some third-party converters and then add the videos to iTunes library.

If you're using your mac, with firefox there is a plugin, downloadhelper I believe it's called. It allows you to download videos, and you can save them as mp4's. THen look into mpegstreamclip and see if it can convert the mp4 as audio only, mp3, that you can then sync through iTunes to your iPad.
Now lots of youtube downloaders are fully free, you can get it from cnet or brother site. Btw, in order to convert youtube video to mp3 audio files, you'd better get a mac video converter software and directly convert any of your video to mp3 music with high quality.
