TM schedule has changed itself to 2 hourly not hourly...help!

I've just notuced that the TM schedule appears to be backing up every 2 hours as opposed to very hour as it should be.

Why might this have happened.

I have not tried to make any manula changes.

Any advice appreciated.

Should I just leave it?

Thanks.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

In the Finder, select Go Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.

Select "system.log" from the file list. Enter "backupd" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. Post the messages from the last two backups, each one beginning with "Starting standard backup."

Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Do not post many repetitions of the same message.

Some personal information, such as the names of your files, may be included — edit that out, too, but don’t remove the context.

The problem is that each backup is taking more than an hour to complete, so the following one starts two hours later. You aren't copying much data, so it shouldn't be taking that long. I suspect that your source drive or your destination drive is failing. Put the destination drive aside for the time being, and start a new backup set on a different drive. You should do that anyway, because you need more than one backup. The initial backup will take a long time, but subsequent ones should be a lot faster.
