My PowerBook G4 17" 1.33 gHz won't connect to the internet after the battery ran out of power in sleep mode.  Also, the date has changed to 1969.  Resetting the PRAM and PMU didn't work.  Restarting the cable modem didn't work.  The ethernet cable is fine.

The ####cable company's representative verified my modem operates normally, but said my IP address starts with the wrong three digits.  The PowerBook assigns its own IP address over DHCP.

What should I do to connect to the internet again?

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8), G4 17"
