Hi everyone,
My Dell U3011 monitor has one USB port that supposed to charge devices at 1.5A. iPhone is being charged at 0.5A (500mA) which is normal for all USB ports.
Now I don't know wether the monitor is faulty or the iPhone is not BC1.1 compliant.
Any info will be greatly appriciated.

The iPhone will not draw more than 1 amp regardless of what the capabilities of the USB port are. It WILL charge at 1 amp using the charger that comes with it, an iPad charger, or the USB ports on newer Mac computers (which can supply 1 amp). How are you measuring the current consumed by the iPhone?
I developed a little app for myself that shows me how much iPhone is drawing. The app is 100% accurate. I understand that iPhone will only draw up to 1A, which is fine, but does it actually say anywhere wether the iPhone is BC1.1 compliant or not?
