Finder error code -36 after attempting to install new software

After successfully downloading MindJet Manager 9 for Mac upgrade (9.0.194.dmg file), copying the MM app to the applications folders resulted in the following error message:


The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “MindManager Tipps und Tricks.mmap” can’t be read or written.

(Error code -36). Installation failed.


MindJet's support recommendations was to contact these forums, as this is a common issue on the Apple Support site. Typically the error is with the Finder or the Mac OS. This error seems to occur with many different programs and not specifically with MindManager


Can you please advise on how to these resolve issues.
