Netflix Streaming Issue Overseas

I have a new MacBook Pro with OS X Lion running. I recently converted to the world of Mac and can barely find my way around the computer to try and fix my current issue, which is:

When I try to play a video on Netflix it reaches 98% and then stops, saying it gas an error code N8156-6023. I am stationed overseas in Italy, and so I use the HMA! Pro VPN to get US websites. It works fine on my iPhone (using the VPN), so I think it's just a Mac issue. I've tried lots of suggestions, but none of them work and/or I simpy don't understand them... Can anyone help with a new-user-friendly set of instructions on this issue?

Try deleting this file, then restart Safari. I ran into a similar issue here in the US.

You didn't give many details about your system, but I am assuming that you have all of the software updates installed and that you are running a reasonably current version of Microsoft Silverlight that is required for Netflix. I believe the current version is 5.1...) You can check your version here.

iCare, I tried deleting that file and that didn't seem to help. Everything on my MacBook is up to date, as with the Silverlight. I've deleted and reinstalled it so many times I'm probably more up to date than most! Two days ago I tried to play a movie, and it said my broweser (Chrome) wasn't supported, but it played the movie. For some reason it seems to be just the TV shows...? I don't see how that makes a difference, though!

... Update... I have dont nothing new since this last post, and now all of a sudden the videos for TV shows AND movies works... Thanks for the help!
