at start up the screen is very dark, so I can't log in to my account, because I can't see the arrow. I tried to make the screen more bright with fn F2, but that doesn't work. How can I have a bright screen at start up, so that I can see what I'm doing?

Once you tyope in your password hit the enter key. Same as clicking on the Arrow.
Use the F function key to brighten up the screen.
The problem is before I type my password. The screen is so dark, that I can barely see anything on the screen. I can not adjust the brightness before I have to enter my pasword. Also the F function key with F2 doesn't work. How can I solve that?
After my log in, there is no problem at all.
Hold down the fn key and then hit the F2 key. If that doesn't work then you have a hardware problem with your Mac and the only thing you can do is take it to an Apple Genius Bar.
