The devide appears in iTunes and Options "Sync with this iPod over Wi-Fi" and "Manually manage music and videos" are checked. Any help other than restarting the device, change USB ports and restart computer? Help is appreciated.

It appears to only works with the iPod Classic or Shuffle. Those iPod appear in Finder.
For whatever reason, the software doesn't recognize the device. Stellar seems to work only with Ipod Nano, Shuffle and Classic), not with Ipod Touch. Any other open source alternative to recovery data from an iPod Touch?
On a Mac, an iPod does not appear in Finder unless you use a third-party program like PhoneView.
Right. But If I want to use a data recovery software like "Stellar Phoenix for Mac" it doesn't find the device when plugged to a MBP through USB cable. Any ideas?
