I accidentally press Off the Backlight in my 3red generation iPod Nano, how can I turn it On again? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

What do you mean you turned off the backlight? How did you do that?
Have you tried a hard reset to see if that takes care of it? To this, first make sure the hold switch is in the Off position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Yes, I tried Hard Reset, the Apple logo appeared, half of the sreen showed in a flash and the screen went black again. iPod is still playing but the screen is still black. ( I happen to go to the Backlight column that says 5 seconds, 10 seconds etc. and Off on top. Pressed Off by mistake.) I appreciate your reply..
You may need to restore the iPod to factory settings via iTunes in order to reset the setting.

I JUST had the same problem and figured it out. No resets needed. The backlight is off, but the screen isn't completely black, it's extremely dark. I held my iPod (5th G) under a light, I'm in a car right now, so any light will do. But I could still see the menu list. From there just navigate to the backlight setting and turn it back on.
That's definitely a possibility! 🙂 Depends on how good the OP's eyes are and whether they are willing to strain them to see the Nano's LCD screen without any backlight!
