Using an iPhone 4s and trying to use the HSBC mobile banking "app". I called HSBC but they couldn't help. I key in the site, but when it pops up it won't allow me to log in. The HSBC rep said she was able to do it on her iPhone. I cleared cookies and history and allow cookies, but nothing is helping. Anyone else have this problem? Resolution???

I'm not a member of HSBC, but I went to the site via Safari on my iPhone 4S and it seems to be working fine. Are you getting an error message when you try to log in?

No. No error messages. Here's what happens: I type in, per the instructions: www.us.hsbc.com. I've also tried, per the rep: www.m.us.hsbc.com. Each time I get the opening screen. None of the links work, though. I tap the login bar, but nothing happens.
Read my post above. The general consensus is having the same problems. HSBC isn't the only bank that's not supported.
You're correct! I just downloaded the Dolphin browser. Not only does it work, it's lightning fast! Foolish me for thinking Safari was the be all and end all.

The HSBC website says to use the URL
A number of banks run separate mobile and full web page sites as their normal web sites are not compatible with mobile devices.
Tried that but it didn't work. They gave me a couple of different sites to try, and none worked.

I finally figured out the problem - In the settings for Safari, JavaScript needed to be ON.

I had this problem and realised that after the update my Wi-Fi wasn;t connected. Once I reconnected to Wi-Fi everything worked again. Wouldn't work in 3G mode (at least when reinstalling the app and using the activation code). Once I activated in Wi-Fi mode it started working...
Still a problem. After activating app it was okay, but then when trying to log in using normal procedure again it's the same old problem...
