Is anyone here able to control Mainstage using the Novation Nocturn (without keyboard, USB connection)? I can do this in Logic Studio, but Mainstage does not detect any MIDI instrument. In case this is impossible, is this because the nocturn is no MIDI instrument/controller, as it has no keys?

Hi Bart,
You can control Mainstage with the Nocturn, however since Mainstage is not supported by Automap, you'll just have to assign each control manually. You'll want to use Mainstage's learn feature for this in Layout mode.
The Nocturn is a MIDI controller, so it should show up there as one. If it doesn't, make sure you have the latest Novation USB drivers, and rescan your MIDI devices in the Audio MIDI setup application (you can find this by spotlight searching it).
