Hi,

On Messages beta if you have a Contact (Not Buddy) as the person in the Message window and are iMessaging to them then the Video Icon will invoke FaceTime

If you are using Buddy List to contact a Buddy (Not plain iMessage Contact) then you can Video the way iChat used to.

HI,

So, in the Video Menu the Camera Enabled (It may say VIdeo Enabled in Lion/iChat 6) is ticked ?

Similarly the Show Video Status in the View Menu is also ticked ?

IF you click you own Video icon do you see a Preview ?

Also Check iChat menu > Preferences > Video section.

IF the camera fails to show you a Pic then go to the Apple Menu and hold the ALT key and select System Profilier/Info

Under Hardware > USB does the camera show Up ?
