Allow to unlock but still don't.

My iphone4 had been allowed to unlock by AT&T but I still can't unlock by chinese sim card.More than three AT&T staffs told me than my iphone4 had been allowed to unlock and sent me instruction on how to unlock my iphone4.First,I had tried to put the AT&T sim card in the iphone4 for active the iphone, then I change the chinese sim card in the iphone4.but still fail.My iphone baseband is 02.10.04.Is question from it? I had reseted the network settings and then try to insert yor sim card.but It's fail.still show that no serve

Although the time between the network provider authorising the unlock and Apple updating their DB so that you can actually use another sim card varies across regions in the UK it is generally accepted that you should allow up to seven working days for the unlock to be completed.

There are several possibilities:

  • It takes time for Apple to update the phone's lock status after AT&T requests it. Sometimes as much as a week.
  • You must have the latest version of iOS on the phone (currently 5.1.1) BEFORE unlocking it. If it isn't at that release update it first. After it is updated, connect to iTunes and click the Restore button in iTunes. The phone will restore, and you should get a message that says your phone is unlocked. If you do not get that message after a Restore it is not unlocked.
  • Phones previously unlocked by jailbreaking or hacking will not unlock correctly if the unauthorized unlock was done by replacing the baseband. There is no fix for this.

Allow to unlock but still don't.
