Dear all,
I'm new here, so here's my first post!
After deleting some tmp files by mistake (/private/tmp) thinking that it was bulk, I'm unable to drag/drop and copy/paste/cut on my mac...
tried everything, except reinstalling Leopard as I don't want to loose anything...
Also time machine doesn't work (?!)
Any ideas/help?

I also created a different user and tried repair permissions in disk utility... it's not about the mouse and track pad either (just in case someone asks!!)
I'm having the same problem. Same system. Same deleting of temp files by mistake, and same fear of reinstalling out of fear of losing everything. Did you ever figure out how to solve the problem?
