It might. Water has never been friendly with electronics. At very minimum add a door to the bathroom that actually shuts, or work in different room where the humidity isn't so bad. By the way, it is spelled MacBook Pro. http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/specs.html lists environmental conditions Macs are most happy with.
Install an exhaust fan in the bathroom with a duct to the outdoors. With the bathroom door closed during and immediately after a shower, the fan will pull dry indoor air under the door and prevent any water vapor from escaping the bathroom. The ventilation will benefit not only your adjacent office and everything in it, but also the bathroom itself, where mold and mildew are likely to thrive without ventilation.
