Why do I sometimes get a "No Sender" response with a 12/31/69 date when I delete email?

Has anyone else experienced this quirk? I get these empty "No Sender" messages in response to deleted email that have a 12/31/69 sent date and I can't delete th

Yes. I too get emails from (No Sender), (No Subject), This message has no content, and the date on the email is 12/31/69. I can't even DELETE them! I can open the email, and any options like delete or send or flag or put in another folder are all grayed out. I can't do anything with the email but let it sit and take up space in my account.

The emails stay as NOT READ. I was on my iPad. So I decided to try and see if I could access them on my computer OR my iPhone. They are not there.

Does anyone know where these are coming from and how to get rid of them? Thanks.
