10.7.4 Install to USB ERROR Could not restore - invalid argument. ISSUE

When I try to install 10.7.4 to a usb using the steps found in google that work in all previous versions of 10. I get errors now. I tried a different USB Drive and then I tried a older version of lion and the older version restores to the USB but 10.7.4 keeps giving me " Could Not Restore Invalid Argument".

I tried different usbs and also redownloaded lion three seperate times. Its the Original Installer 10.7.4 causing the issue.

Only thing I didnt try was moving the 10.7.4 to an unencrypted drive and then trying the restore to usb......

Install a fresh copy from the USB drive by booting with Option and using the USB to Fresh install.

I dont believe in installing updates on top of updates. I like to start from scratch everytime...

FURTHER MORE! FOR APPLE EYES!

I think the idea of forcing people to update over updates in plain and simply ********~!!

if your having any sort of underlying issue why in the world would people want to install updates ontop of them and perpetuate the issue.

I am a strong believer in Fresh Installs and Clean Installs over Updates ontop of Updates.

THERE SHOULD ALWAYS BE A CONSUMER USABLE CLEAN INSTALL OPTION.. PERIOD! AND IT SHOULD BE SUPPORTED BY APPLE AND

INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED BY APPLE.

WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO SCREW AROUND ON GOOGLE TO FIND A WAY TO RESTORE IMAGES TO USB

WHEN APPLE COULD JUST NATIVLY SUPPORT THE CLEAN INSTALL.

Jerks and Tards that how I feel of apple. Clean up your act

I got the same error message at the end of the restore process in Disk Utility; however, the USB flash drive that I had installed the Lion 10.7.4 installer on worked perfectly.

Further, I used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the disk image installer for 10.7.4 to the same USB Flash Drive that I had received the error on, and CCC did not need to replace or change any files.

One odd thing that may or may not be related to this error message. After using Disk Utility to make the Lion 10.7.4 installer, permissions were NOT enabled on the USB Flash Lion Installer. I've always thought that for any Mac OS X boot disk, permissions needed to be enabled. I manually enabled permissions on the USB installer.
