If I move my iTunes library so that I can restore my computer, will I still have all my play counts and ratings?

If I move my iTunes library so that I can restore my computer, will I still have all my play counts and ratings? This is very important to me, and I would like to hear from someone who has done it. I am planning on doing a complete restore of my computer, but would like to keep my iTunes Library play count and ratings information. Please let me know if I should follow Apple's instructions, or if there is something else I should do.

Will my play counts and ratings transfer is I follow these Apple instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 . Any input into this from someone who has done it would be most helpful and appreciated.

iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1

Backing up the whole iTunes folder, including the library.itl file which is the one that really has your playlists and ratings, is what you need to do. Yes, that's what that Apple document is about.
